Exhibition and award ceremony for the “Boulevard della Pietra” projects in Bagnolo Piemonte

On October 12, 2024, the awards ceremony for the finalist projects of the “Boulevard of Stone” competition was held in the council chamber of the Bagnolo Piemonte Town Hall, along with the opening of the exhibition showcasing all the submitted works.

During the event, architect Dario Raguzzino of LAB.I.R.INT Architettura stated:

“What motivated us to take part in the competition for the regeneration of Bagnolo Piemonte’s town center was reading between the lines of the brief the Administration’s genuine intention to carry out a renewal project aimed at achieving concrete results—environmental, social, and economic—for the local community. This attitude on the part of the client, which immediately made us feel aligned with their vision, allowed us to approach the design by focusing on a sustainable intervention—one conceived to reach high standards across multiple dimensions.

Starting from this act of trust, we envisioned places that could help reduce the environmental impact inherent in every human intervention on the land. At the same time, we conceived these spaces as social environments—designed to encourage the citizens of Bagnolo to explore new ways of living their town, while also attracting visitors and generating new potential tourist flows. We highlighted the traditional local craft of Luserna stone, which plays a central role in our project. Our aim was to establish a repeatable standard for the areas surrounding the core of the intervention, enabling the project to be expanded in the future while remaining faithful to the principles of sustainability and overall quality.”
